BASICALLY

My name is Jason Hudson.  I live in Toronto, with my partner Jeff, in a tiny 613sqft condo.  We live small downtown so we can live large with a Muskoka cottage and a poolside condo in Florida

I started this blog in January 2008.  I write about everything in my life, from the ones I love to the food we eat together.  I take all the photos and make up the recipes, except where noted.  It's all divided up into categories there on the left.  Mostly obvious.

FAQ

I shoot pictures with a Canon 5D Mark II, with its very basic 24-105mm f4 lens or my 50mm 1.4 or a variety of lenses I rent for specific work.  I studied Photography at Sheridan College and graduated a decade ago.  (Whoa.)  I wrote about it (and other career stuff) here and here.

Our living room walls are painted, not wallpapered.  See here.  I'd describe our home as pretty eclectic: midcentury stuff, a dash of Hollywood regency, hits of commercial-industrial. Classic.  Lots of rich colours, contrast, texture.  Faggy-masculine.  You know.

All these opportunities?  Good luck plus a modicum of talent smashing into a new-found bravery about grabbing shit by the balls and just diving in.  Be yourself, and don't be afraid.

People don't ask a ton of questions, really.  So go ahead, ask me anything.

Here's my Twitter.
Here's my Instagram.
Here's my Tumblr, where I will post images from Instagram.

Note: I changed the layout of my blog in 2010, so older entries may have tiny photos and f'd up alignment.  Forgive this, and find solace in the sleep I lose at night because of it.  For real.  I've been tempted to go back and re-do everything, but that would make me crazy.
