No matter how warm - no matter how many bonus-days of heat and humidity we get - we're hard-wired to feel like summer is over when school is set to begin again. When August grinds to a melancholy halt. When the sun lowers its position in the sky, just so. And with every passing year, summer seems shorter and shorter.

But we've had a good one. Consumption at a critical mass. Food and booze and grilled items. Fun with friends and family. Quiet times and loud ones. Work and play. But unlike the days of back to school, life will just sort of continue. No big shifts. Just more of the same.

Enjoy some songs that have been on constant rotation this summer.
